The mission of the Purpose of Life Home Health Care Agency is to support Pennsylvanians to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunities in their lives. Our vision is to continually improve an effective system of accessible services and supports that are flexible, innovative, and person-centered. Our scope is to service individuals with disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

Our values are built on the values, goals, expectations, and aspirations of people with disabilities and their families. We base these values on the deep-rooted concept of Everyday Lives: Value in Action.

Purpose of Life promotes the belief that with the support of family and friends, people with disabilities can and should decide how to live their lives. We are dedicated to helping our clients reach long- and short-term goals. We articulate what is important to people who use our services and their families, and make recommendations about how the services system should increase opportunities for individuals to participate fully in their communities, better support families with information and connection to their families, provide individuals with more control over their services, and improve the system’s accountability for assuring health, safety, and positive outcomes. These values will guide every decision made by, for, and about people with disability and/or autism.

Our caregivers are experienced in working with people affected by these common conditions and more:

  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia
  • Severe diabetes
  • Cancer
  • Stroke
  • Autism

We are also experienced in working with people in hospice care.

Purpose of Life Home Health Care Agency services individuals in and around the city of Pittsburgh.
